The Windows 3.x executable name is ISQLW. If no isql-command is specified, then ISQL enters the interactive mode where you can type a command into a command window. The most common form uses the READ statement to execute an ISQL command file in batch mode. If isql-command is specified, then ISQL executes the command. It also provides feedback about the number of rows affected, the time required for each command, the execution plan of queries, and any error messages. ISQL allows you to type SQL commands, or run ISQL command files. ISQL provides the user with an interactive environment for database browsing and for sending SQL statements to SQL Anywhere.
